TOP 10 THINGS TO DO IN A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP

Hey guys!

It's been so long since my last post and I wasn't expecting so many views and subscribers for my Youtube channel.  So as promised from my last video, I made "Top 10 Things to do in a Long Distance Relationship".  Just adding some extra information and examples on my blog.  Here is my top 10 list:

10. Talking on the phone & texting
The reason why I say "short, simple, and sweet" is because there have been times where my boyfriend and I would be on the phone for hours and then we'd have these long pauses of silence because we were struggling against wanting to stay on the phone and at the same time, we had nothing else to say.  It resulted in awkward goodbyes.  So try to keep your conversations to a reasonable length of time!

9. Couple app
For more information on the app and if you want to see more on how it works, check out their website, https://couple.me/

8. Ad-libs, 20 questions, & one-word game
I actually saved the first time my boyfriend and I started playing ad-libs:

7. Sending gifts
For my boyfriend's birthday + Valentine's Day, I wrote him a letter about the gift I gave him which was a couple necklace of a dragon and phoenix.  Here's a picture of the necklaces and letter explaining the significance of the necklaces:

And for my boyfriend's birthday, I made a collage video wishing him happy birthday:

6. Video chat
Top video chat apps:
- Skype
- ooVoo
- Facetime
- Google Hangouts

5. Plans to meet up
My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out how we were going to meet up in person.  We were trying to figure out a way to convince my boyfriend's mom to drive him from Pennsylvania to Florida and I found out that there was an anime & comic convention being held.  His mom agreed to bring him there and what made it even easier for them was that they actually had family members in Florida that they could stay with for a week.  When they arrived in Florida, the first place they went to was my house.  I finally met my boyfriend in person for the first time and it was a day to remember.  Eventually, he had to go back to Pennsylvania but we always tried to find ways to meet each other again.

4. Timeline scrapbook
Here are some pictures of my timeline scrapbook:

3. Articles, videos, & TV shows

2. Writing letters

1. Playing video games
There was another feature I forgot to mention on PS4: Share Play.  Share Play is a feature where one can gain access to the other person's Ps4 and play their games!  Also, it allows you to play local co-op games without having to be in the same room as each other which is very convenient.  A PS4 costs about $350 and there are also bundles available that come with certain games.  It may sound expensive for some of you, but it's totally worth it.
Games I recommend playing together:
- GTA V
- The Last of Us
- Little Big Planet 3
- Destiny
- Minecraft

If you have any other ideas besides the ones I've listed, leave a comment on my video or here!

Open When Letters

Hey guys!

Lately I've been making Open When Letters for my boyfriend! We're in a long distance relationship and I thought this was something I could make for him in case he can't reach out to me.  Hopefully, this can help you get some sort of idea as to what to put in your letters for your loved one. ^^

Open when...you're stressed out

In this letter, I included a green tea packet, a quote that says "Keep calm and don't stress", a list of songs that could help him relax, a list of ways to relieve stress, and another quote that says "Stressed spelled backwards is desserts".  If you already know a specific reason as to what could stress your partner out, you can write them a letter on how to deal with it and how no matter what happens, you will be there for him/her.

This is the list of songs that I chose for my boyfriend.  Most of them are calm and slow which I think are perfect for when you want to relax:
- The Sun and the Moon Mae
- Everything Lifehouse
- Strawberry Swing Coldplay
- Chasing Cars Snow Patrol
- Angels The xx
- Keep Breathing Ingrid Michaelson
- Gravity Sara Bareilles
- Here with Me Dido
- In Your Arms Kina Grannis
- Somewhere Only We Know Keane

Feel free to use this list and add or take out any other song to make your own playlist.

Open when...you feel like a failure.

I put a quote that says "Fall down seven times, get up eight" which is a japanese proverb that pretty much means to not give up and persevere.  Then there's a picture of le success baby which says "SUCCESS: Because you too can own this face of pure accomplishment."  Last but not least, I wrote a letter telling him that he is not a failure and that once he overcomes the obstacles in his life, he will have the biggest smile on his face.  If your partner is feeling this way, it's important to give him/her strength to keep going.  Include some pep talk in there!

Open when...you want to know who's sexy as hell.

I saw some ideas for this topic (though it didn't say "sexy as hell", it would be like "Open when...you want to know who makes my heart beat faster" or something like that but I spiced it up C:) and a lot of people ended up putting mirrors in the letter so that their partner will see their own reflection.  I wanted to do that at first but I was afraid the mirror would break since I was sending it through mail. So I decided to draw a picture of him instead!  If you're willing to draw a picture of your partner, do it!  They will certainly be impressed and happy. If you want, you can also include a little note as to what you find most attractive about them, whether it'd be from a physical aspect or intellect aspect or...calves and forearms....-ahem-

Open when...I sound depressed

Usually with these kinds of letters, you want to convey the seriousness of the situation so I'd say a letter writing about how you feel and trying to make him/her understand where you're coming from is good enough.

Open when...it's sunny outside

There are many things that I've yet to do with my boyfriend! So a letter like this will give you the opportunity to list down some of the things you'd want to do with your partner according to the weather (you could also list down things for when it's rainy outside but since I knew what we would be doing...you know....YOU KNOW....like Netflix, duh).

The things that I listed down were:
- go to the beach
- swim in the pool and have races
- teach me how to ride a bike
- walk in the park while holding hands
- have a picnic together

I grabbed pictures from the internet and included a picture of me in a bathing suit and pasted it on pieces of paper.  I wrote on the papers describing scenarios of what would happen during those events.  If your partner is prone to getting sun burnt, you could write him/her a little note telling him/her to make sure to wear sunscreen!

 Open when...you miss me

There is a BUNCH of things you can add in this letter.  What I included in this letter was a picture of me doing a kiss face and I wrote "I miss you too, honeys!", three pictures of us camera whoring, a quote that says:

"Distance never separates two hearts that really care.  For our memories span the miles and in seconds we are there.  But whenever I start feeling sad because I miss you, I remind myself how lucky I am to have someone like you to miss."

and another quote that says "I f***ing miss you.  And vice versa" LOL.  I also traced my hands on some cardstock, cut it out, attached a long piece of string on the back of each hand, and wrote, "I love you....this much!" It's my way of stretching out my arms showing how much I love him.  Other things you can include are a letter about how much you miss him/her or what you miss about him/her and spray some perfume or cologne on a piece of paper for him/her to smell!

Open when...you need to smile

I thought about what are some things that could make my boyfriend smile and I included a drawing of what happened when he tried to put his arm around me for the first time, a joke that says, "Yo mama's so fat that diabetes is becoming a serious concern and she should go see a doctor", a picture that says "You smile, I smile", and I found this funny idea on the internets that I decided to do it myself; it's a card that has a little poem saying:

"Roses are red, but sometimes they're thorny.  When you're around me, I get sorta...."

and when you open the card, it finishes it off by saying "....corny.  I know what you were thinking, ya nasty!"  I added a picture of myself in the card with a creep face LOL. Who ever made up this cute poem, you da real MVP because it is genius.

Open when...you're sick

I really wish I could be there for my boyfriend when he's sick...the best that I could do is to give him a little guide as to how to take care of himself and encourage him to get better!  I included a a note saying "Get well soon my love!", a quote saying "Your illness is a direct result of not spending enough time with me.  You miss me!", three green tea packets, a list of necessities for when he's sick, and a list on what to do when he's sick.  Let your loved one know that he/she needs to drink plenty of fluids, get plenty of rest, and try to eat healthily!

To Go Summer Look (inspired by Bubzbeauty)

Heyyyyy.

I was watching a couple of makeup tutorials (Bubzbeauty and Michelle Phan are my go to makeup gurus!) and I found one that was pretty simple to do.  I don't have a lot of experience with foundation and primer but I thought it could be fun to at least do the eye makeup part with what I already have.  I'm starting to like the color lavender...it's such a cute color; I use it a lot!
I'm also gonna go on a little journey to find out which makeup products suit me best and hopefully I can find ones that won't make my skin breakout or make my face look like cake lol.  I could also use some better brushes to apply my makeup and make cleaner lines, add blush, ya know the drill! This will be fun. ^^

Lavender is probably my new favorite color! GAH.

Sunset Eye Makeup

Hi!

Today I wanted to experiment with red eyeshadow but this was the darkest shade of red I had in my eyeshadow palette (it's more like red-orange!).  I decided to use gold eyeshadow for the base and then blend in the red-orange eyeshadow at the end of my eyes thus why I called it the Sunset.  Then I used dark brown eyeliner, a mixture of liquid and gel (liquid for my eyelids to make the cat eye and gel for my waterline).

I gotta buy a better camera....I'm using my phone.

This is Awkward Jerbabycakes.

Jerbabycakes + makeup = ?

I'm a total noob with makeup but I think I'm pretty okay with eye makeup!  I'm still doing research on what is a good foundation, concealer, etc and correct techniques to use. I go on Youtube and watch makeup tutorials; those help out a lot.  Thank goodness for makeup gurus. I'm going to try different shades of eyeshadow throughout the week and see which ones look good on me. ^^ Today I decided to use white and light blue eyeshadow to match my cute chibis shirt!

Florida Supercon 2014

Hello!

So last Saturday, I went to FSC! If there's one thing that I learned about myself, it's that I'm seriously getting old.  Several years ago, I used to go to conventions with so much energy and I'd be home past midnight.  Now I just go to a few panels, eat food, and go home by 7-8pm.  It's all good though, all I really wanted was to go to Jason Momoa's Q&A and take a picture with him.  And that's exactly what I did! During the photo op, I asked him if we can pose with a crazy face (totally worth $45 xD).  He drank so much beer during the Q&A and only god knows how much he drank before then. He was super cool with his fans!  I told myself that I wouldn't really spend money at the vendors section....but I ended up buying a shirt and a couple of posters. It was a good day and hopefully next year I'll be able to cosplay!

 Jason Momoa's crazy face. lololol

The shirt I bought! Chibi Jon Snow and chibi Ghost!

The poster collection begins...

GTA Online: "Independence Day" Event Fan Art

Happy Independence Day!

While everyone went out to watch fireworks and cook BBQ, I spent the day with my boyfriend playing video games and ended the day with launching fireworks on the pier in GTA Online! This is one of my favorite updates from GTA; the outfits are awesome! I drew some fan art of our characters the day before.  I had a lot of fun drawing this that I may just do this for every future update/event they come up with! ^^  And here are some screenshots from le game.  If you wanna join me and play, my PSN is xdbakadx.  If ya send me a friend request, make a message telling me that you've seen my blog!

I hate drawing stars. They always come out derp-looking. But overall, I'm satisfied with it!

 Jazz hands!

Lookin' good, baby!

Ignore the random blood speck on my chest.
