It's been so long since my last post and I wasn't expecting so many views and subscribers for my Youtube channel. So as promised from my last video, I made "Top 10 Things to do in a Long Distance Relationship". Just adding some extra information and examples on my blog. Here is my top 10 list:
10. Talking on the phone & texting
The reason why I say "short, simple, and sweet" is because there have been times where my boyfriend and I would be on the phone for hours and then we'd have these long pauses of silence because we were struggling against wanting to stay on the phone and at the same time, we had nothing else to say. It resulted in awkward goodbyes. So try to keep your conversations to a reasonable length of time!
9. Couple app
For more information on the app and if you want to see more on how it works, check out their website, https://couple.me/
8. Ad-libs, 20 questions, & one-word game
I actually saved the first time my boyfriend and I started playing ad-libs:
7. Sending gifts
For my boyfriend's birthday + Valentine's Day, I wrote him a letter about the gift I gave him which was a couple necklace of a dragon and phoenix. Here's a picture of the necklaces and letter explaining the significance of the necklaces:
And for my boyfriend's birthday, I made a collage video wishing him happy birthday:
6. Video chat
Top video chat apps:
- Skype
- ooVoo
- Facetime
- Google Hangouts
5. Plans to meet up
My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out how we were going to meet up in person. We were trying to figure out a way to convince my boyfriend's mom to drive him from Pennsylvania to Florida and I found out that there was an anime & comic convention being held. His mom agreed to bring him there and what made it even easier for them was that they actually had family members in Florida that they could stay with for a week. When they arrived in Florida, the first place they went to was my house. I finally met my boyfriend in person for the first time and it was a day to remember. Eventually, he had to go back to Pennsylvania but we always tried to find ways to meet each other again.
4. Timeline scrapbook
Here are some pictures of my timeline scrapbook:
3. Articles, videos, & TV shows
2. Writing letters
1. Playing video games
There was another feature I forgot to mention on PS4: Share Play. Share Play is a feature where one can gain access to the other person's Ps4 and play their games! Also, it allows you to play local co-op games without having to be in the same room as each other which is very convenient. A PS4 costs about $350 and there are also bundles available that come with certain games. It may sound expensive for some of you, but it's totally worth it.
- GTA V
- The Last of Us
- Little Big Planet 3
- Destiny
- Minecraft
If you have any other ideas besides the ones I've listed, leave a comment on my video or here!
